Homemade Peanut Butter and Peanut Milk

I've been using almond milk for years, either store-both or homemade. I used to make it with raw almonds and a pinch of cinnamon. Until one day when I ran out of almond milk. I didn't feel like going to the grocery store but I had my homemade peanut butter in the refrigerator. Ta-da! I came up with a life-changing idea. Simply blending peanut butter with water seemed like a great idea to me. Everyone who has ever tried this milk at my home was trilled, trust me.

I can't speak highly enough about peanut milk. Generally, nut milks are healthy, cheap, and easy to make! I like to add them to my coffee, hot chocolate, smoothies, and desserts. However, peanut milk is my favorite one. It reminds me of my childhood, especially when I use it to make a hot chocolate.

HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER

(Ready in about 10 minutes | yields about 1 1/2 cups)

Ingredients

2 cups blanched peanuts, unsalted

1 teaspoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

A pinch of salt

Directions

Place peanuts in a food processor and blend it for 4 to 5 minutes until creamy. Stir in the cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt.

I prefer to store my peanut butter in the refrigerator.

One of my favorite breakfast options includes homemade peanut butter (every kid's favorite spread), jam, and peanut butter hot chocolate.

Peanuts are an excellent source of healthful fats, protein, and fiber. They also contain many useful vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B-complex, vitamin E, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium. They are loaded with monounsaturated fats that can reduce the risk of heart disease and speed up weight loss. So dig into that jar!
